This thoughtfully curated itinerary blends high-level pickleball instruction, plenty of fun on and off the courts, and unforgettable excursions showcasing the region’s lush vegetation and incredible wildlife. As a pioneer of the very first pickleball camp in Costa Rica—hosted at the Tilajari—you can register with complete confidence knowing every detail has been expertly planned for an exceptional experience. Skill Level 2.5 - 4.0+ / Players will be paired based on skill ratings submitted at time of registration. The Pro instructors may make adjustments to ensure similarly skilled players are on the same courts.

Itinerary Outline

This schedule is an outline of your trip — changes and/or additions may take place. You will receive more information via email after registration.  

    • Arrive at the San Jose airport - transportation provided to the hotel. The transportation shuttle service is 24 hrs. Because everyone is arriving at different times, there is no food provided for this day.

    • Leave San Jose after breakfast to experience a unique wildlife reserve tour as well as lunch at a local restaurant. Arrive at the Resort for check in.

    • There will be a ‘Meet & Greet Welcome Reception’ 6:00pm (beer & wine included) followed by dinner. 

    • Breakfast 6:30am - 9:30am

    • Pickleball camp, 9:00am - 1:00pm. The rest of the day to relax and/or play pickleball.

    • Breakfast 6:30am - 9:30am

    • (2) tours, Hanging Bridges AND Hot Springs.

    • Breakfast 6:30am - 9:30am

    • Pickleball camp 9:00am - 1:00pm. After lunch a tour is scheduled.

    • Breakfast 6:30am - 9:30am

    • Pickleball Camp 9:00am - 1:00pm followed by lunch

    • 4:00pm - 6:00pm, Round Robin

    • ‘Group Farewell Dinner’

    • Breakfast, 6:30am - 9:30am

    • Check out of Resort

    • Tour scheduled followed by transportation to the airport hotel.

    • Breakfast provided as well as shuttle transportation to the airport.

    • Court shoes, tennis shoes/sneakers, and sandals you don’t mind getting wet

    • More athletic wear than you think!

    • A few nicer outfits for dinner, VERY casual

    • Long-sleeved attire for walking through the woods (if you choose to go on additional tours/excursions)

    • Cash (USD will work) if you would like to tip your driver, tour guides, and resort staff

  • North & South America Trips:

    • 91 days or more prior to the event (North & South America trips), 50% refund of initial deposit 

    • 90 days prior to the event FULL BALANCE is due. No refunds will be issued for failure to submit full payment.

    • 89 days to 61 days prior to the event, 25% refund.

    • 60 days prior to the event, no refund.

    European Trips:

    • 121 days or more prior to the event, 50% of initial deposit.

    • 120 days prior to the event FULL BALANCE is due.  No refunds will be issued for failure to submit full payment.

    • 119 days prior to the event, no refund.

    Platinum Pickleball Travel strongly encourages participants to purchase travel protection that covers trip cancellation, interruption, medical expenses and personal belongings.  

    This is the standard policy for Platinum Pickleball Travel.  It is our objective to have a positive experience with our company.  If you have to cancel, please feel free to call as well as email to see if there are any other options as resort locations may vary. 

  • At Platinum Pickleball Travel, your safety, comfort, and enjoyment are our top priorities. However, by booking a trip with us, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

    1. General Disclaimer

    Platinum Pickleball Travel is not responsible for disruptions due to weather, natural disasters, political unrest, transportation delays, hotel or activity changes, or other events beyond our control. We reserve the right to alter or cancel any part of a trip if necessary for safety or logistical reasons. No refunds will be issued for changes or cancellations outside our control.

    2. Accidents & Transportation

    We act solely as an agent for travel services and are not liable for injury, death, delays, or losses caused by vehicles, equipment, service providers, or third parties. All travel and activities are undertaken at your own risk. It is highly recommended to consider travel protection.

    3. Activity Participation

    Platinum Pickleball Travel is not liable for accidents or injuries that occur during any activity, including but not limited to:
    Pickleball, hiking, water sports, horseback riding, biking, ziplining, and other optional or scheduled excursions.

    4. Flights & Delays

    Platinum Pickleball Travel is not responsible for missed flights, delayed arrivals, lost luggage, or schedule changes from airlines. If flight delays cause you to miss our group departure, you'll be responsible for arranging your own transportation to join the tour.

    5. Hotels & Infrastructure

    Platinum Pickleball Travel is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or losses that occur at hotels due to infrastructure, maintenance issues, or local standards of safety. We ask that you approach us with concerns before addressing hotel staff directly.

    6. Theft & Lost Items

    While we carefully select reputable hotels and service providers, we are not liable for lost or stolen personal items, including documents, electronics, and valuables. 

    7. Health & Medical Issues

    Platinum Pickleball Travel is not responsible for illnesses, allergic reactions, injuries, or environmental effects such as sunstroke, insect bites, or food/water-related conditions. Participation in tours and physical activities is at your own discretion. 

    8. Event changes or Cancellations

    Platinum Pickleball Travel reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or force majeure.  If an event is canceled by us, participants may receive a full refund or apply their payment toward a future trip.

    9. Trip Adjustments & Pricing

    Prices are based on current exchange rates and service fees at the time of planning. In the event of unforeseen cost increases (e.g., fuel, hotel rates, taxes), we reserve the right to adjust the trip price. These changes do not permit cancellations or refunds.

    10. Camp Instructors

    Our instructors are thoughtfully selected to lead our camps. However, in the rare event of unforeseen circumstances preventing the assigned instructor(s) from conducting the camp, Platinum Travel Pro reserves the right to appoint a replacement instructor. Please note that no refunds will be issued in such cases.

    11. Legal Responsibility

    Participants must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by an adult. By registering, you agree to hold Platinum Pickleball Travel harmless for incidents beyond our control. Legal fees incurred to enforce these terms are the responsibility of the participant.

    12. Photo & Video Use

    By joining a trip, you grant us permission to use photos and videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes unless you opt out in writing on your registration form. Submitted photos may also be featured in our Tour Gallery.

    13. Liability Waiver

    Participants agree to hold harmless Platinum Pickleball Travel, its affiliates, staff and partners from any liability related to injury, illness, loss or damage incurred during the trip.
